CREATE SAFE SPACES FOR PLAY FOR ALL LEVELS

WE United creates safe spaces for play at all skill-levels based on the theory that women’s empowerment through sport is most effective when womxn and girls are provided with spaces that are intentionally designed for them.

WE believe in the power of sports to build leadership and communication skills; an ability to balance pride and humility and competition and camaraderie; to promote mental and physical health and positive social relationships. But WE also believe that these skills can only be transferred in safe spaces intentionally designed for womxn, taking into account their needs, risks and strengths.

MAHILA PREMIER LEAGUE

The Mahila Premier League, Kathmandu’s first women’s futsal league, provides girls and women with a professional and extensive platform to play, develop, and compete. Over the course of eight weeks, eight teams compete for the title of Kathmandu’s best women’s futsal team!

WE UNITED TOURNAMENTS

WE United tournaments bring together 100+ women and girls of all skill-levels for one-day experiences designed to provide a safe space for women and girls to challenge themselves, engage in teamwork, display sportswomanship, and cultivate competitiveness and the desire to win.

WE UNITED ACADEMY

The WE United Project runs an all-girls futsal academy in Kathmandu with a mission of providing grassroots-level training for girls from an early age. WE United Academy, we believe is Kathmandu’s first and only futsal academy coached by women and exclusively for girls.

The times and locations and other details of WE United events, such as  employing female referees and honoring sports-womanship, are all designed to ensure that women and girls feel secure to be competitive and compassionate, active and aware, empowered and empathetic.
