EMPOWER WOMEN LEADERS AS COACHES

WE United empowers women leaders as coaches through our flagship and dynamic curriculum that helps coaches build leadership skills but also provides them with the resources to found and coach their own girls’ team.

MAHILA COACHING INITIATIVE

The Mahila Coaching Initiative was implemented by The WE United Project with funding from the European Union in Nepal. The initiative is our first step towards responding to a continued lack of female football coaches in Nepal. The Mahila Coaching Initiative is meant to encourage and enable more women coaches in recognition of how important it is to have females in leadership positions when creating safe spaces for women and girls to engage in sports.

DARE TO SHINE

#DareToShine was implemented by The WE United Project with funding from the U.S. Embassy in Nepal. The #DareToShineprogram was coordinated with the US Embassy Sports Visitor Program (SVP) and trained the five participants from that program, and an additional five participants competitively selected by The WE United Project, to be soccer coaches.

Inspired by the official slogan of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, the #DareToShine program uses soccer as a platform to empower young women in Nepal to become leaders and active participants in their local communities.

WE COACH NEPAL
